The 1st Congress of the Polish Society of Infusion Nursing (PTPI), organized by the PTPI and Evereth Publishing, will be held October 16-18, 2024, at the Stok Hotel in Wisla, Poland. This is a multidisciplinary scientific and training event covering theoretical and practical aspects of vascular access and practicing safe infusion. The Congress is an opportunity to learn about the current standards and guidelines for the management of patients requiring parenteral therapy, to discuss and exchange experiences, and to analyze interesting cases with other clinicians.
The event is dedicated to health care providers from all specialties, managers, university professors, and medical students who want to implement the latest developments in their clinical practice and in the operation of medical facilities.
The Congress is the conclusion of 15 free meetings held during the past year across Poland, during which participants are introduced to the idea of patient safety and staff satisfaction in the clinical context of cannulation and drug and fluid infusion management. There has never been a similar event in Poland that presents the issue of infusion care in such a holistic way and creates a space for medical personnel to discuss making positive changes in daily practice, based on scientific evidence.
The Polish Society of Infusion Nursing was founded in 2023 to improve quality of care for patients who need parenteral therapy. The organization, which brings together specialists from various fields (nurses, midwives, physicians, paramedics), undertakes many initiatives to promote good practice – from publishing recommendations, to organizing educational activities such as webinars and practical courses, to analyzing documents and issuing opinions. The Polish Society of Infusion Nursing is an international affiliation of the Infusion Nurses Society.
