INS has been stretching its legs this year by exhibiting at more of its partners’ conferences. This has been a rewarding experience, not only through continued collaboration, but also exposing our association to more infusion professionals. A brief recap of this year, INS attended the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) conference in March and National Infusion Center Association (NICA) 2024 this past June. This is a new initiative in 2024 of spreading awareness about the organization and the Standards of Practice.
INS and AVA have been strategically connected for many years, and we were thrilled at the opportunity to attend their conference! The breathtaking backdrop of the city of Denver set the stage to showcase all INS has to offer at booth #722, where we sold copies of our Standards of Practice, Policies and Procedures, and Clinical Competency Validation Program for Infusion Therapy. We also had the privilege of introducing the Journal of Infusion Nursing to those who had never received a copy, making it a truly special event. INS staff was on hand to demonstration our newest AI feature ASK IVY and answer any clinical questions. The highlight, however, was our free mini ChapSticks!
AVA 2024 started with an opening reception and some eager attendees visiting INS’ booth. Convenient exhibiting hours gave INS personnel time to experience the educational sessions. INS’ Education Team, Dr. Steinheiser and Derek Fox, were off and running as they immersed themselves in connecting with infusion professionals and continuing their education.
We were honored that Dr. Steinheiser was a general session speaker. It was a packed house to hear her discuss A Single Source of Truth – PIVC Standards and Expert Consensus. Marlene’s expertise and knowledge is invaluable to the infusion community.
INS’s next stop is the 2024 ANCC Magnet & Pathway Conference in New Orleans, October 30 – November1. See you there!
