Recertification by Continuing Education (CE)

CRNI®s choosing to recertify by continuing education (CE) must obtain 40 RUs during their 3-year cycle, of which 30 RUs (internal) must be from an INS meeting live or online.

To recertify by CE, you must submit three items in the final year of your certification cycle:

1. A recertification by CEU application
2. Payment for your recertification fee
3. 40 Recertification units (RUs)

Recertifying is a simple process, and we’ve outlined the steps below for your convenience:

• Log into your INS account by visiting www.ins1.org.
• Hover over the Certification tab on the top banner to reveal a drop-down menu.
• Click on Certification Management.
• Click on the “>” symbol to reveal if you are eligible to register. If you are, “Click to Register” will appear.
• Click on the option that corresponds to your preferred method of recertification.
• Follow the prompts to submit your application and proceed to checkout.
